Workshop Bookings
Workshops will be advertised to members through email and newsletter  Non-members are welcome to attend.

Weekend Workshop Policy - NEW!

To Register for a Workshop:
  • Workshops will be advertised  primarily via direct email, newsletter and SoAN website. Hardcopy flyers will be put on the noticeboard in the rooms.
  • Email the Art Director with your interest.  Current Art Director is Naomi at: [email protected]
  • The Art Director will confirm if there is vacancy and will send the payment information to the member in response.
  • Your registration will be confirmed by email from the Art Director when your payment is received by the Treasurer or evidence sighted by the Art Director.

Cancellation Policy:
  • If a member needs to cancel a registered workshop they are to email the Art Director who will confirm any refunded amount with you and the Treasurer.  The Treasurer will then arrange for the amount to be transferred back to the member.
  • If the member cancels at any time and there is a waitlisted member who confirms their attendance, or the member can find their own paying replacement, then all fees will be refunded.
  • If the member cancels with more than four weeks notice of a weekend workshop and there is no paid replacement only 50% of fees will be refunded.
  • There will be no refund of fees for any cancellations within four weeks of the workshop.
  • Workshops may be cancelled if the minimum viable numbers are not met to pay for the tutor.  The determination of whether a workshop is to be cancelled will be made two weeks before the workshop.
  • If a workshop is cancelled due to tutor availability then attendees will be refunded all registered fees.
  • If a workshop is deferred to an alternate date then paid members will be offered first preference to attend the new date.  If they cannot attend then they will be refinded all fees.

Materials List
The Art Director will send out the materials list when provided by the tutor. Please remember that the list is “recommended”. If you are new to art or the medium being taught, it’s fine to bring a reduced selection from the list or less expensive brands. You will still enjoy the workshop and often a benefit of a workshop is learning what materials you want to buy, after discussion with the tutor and other students.
